Bergbahnen AG Wagrain

Bergbahnen AG Wagrain is a company which has written ski history. From the very first interconnected ski area in the region right up to Ski Amadé – Austria’s biggest ski paradise : the Wagrain ski lifts have always been and still are live on the spot.

On 20 February 1949 the first lift, the 1-person chairlift „Berglift“ to Nazbauer opened. Since then, the ski area has undergone continual expansion and modernisation.

Bergbahnen AG Wagrain employs approx. 135 people in winter. About 120 of these work on the cable cars and lifts, and about 15 people work in the "Kühbergalm" restaurant and après ski bar. The expansion of summer attractions, such as WAGRAINi's Grafenberg and the Mountain Bike Park Wagrain, and the continual investment in making the ski area more modern and convenient, make the employment of over 65 people in summer also possible.

Bergbahnen AG Wagrain also has its own bus fleet with 4 ski buses.

Chairman Christoph Baumann has been with the company since 2000 and has managed it since 1.1.2009. He is the successor to Rupert Baumann, who managed the company for 40 years.
