Getting here, going up the mountain, and skiing...
The Wagrain ski area consists of a total of 35 km of superbly prepared ski runs. Five gondolas, two 4-person and three 6-person chairlifts bring you very quickly to a height of almost 2000 m. All the 6-person chairlifts and also the newly built 8-person gondola "Grafenberg Express I" have heated seating.
Over 240 snow machines cover the 160 hectare piste surface with snow. These are prepared daily by the 9 piste machines. Furthermore the Bergbahnen AG Wagrain has its own bus company and has a fleet of 4 ski buses. These are free to use during the winter season and operate between the village and the lifts every 10 minutes.
Wagrain offers plenty of practise space for your first try at skiing. WAGRAINi's Winterworld is particularly ideal, right at the middle station of the „Rote 8er“ gondola, with practise lifts, magic carpets, and gentle slopes perfect for beginners! A total of 10 rope lifts and conveyor belts in Wagrain make that first step in skiing so much easier!
